Loss of our zoomable Cemetery map

Due to Changes at Microsoft, Our zoomable map of the cemetery is temporarily unavailable.

Our Large-scale zooming map of the cemetery has, since it was first digitised has been hosted by an off-shoot of Microsoft called “Zoom.it”. This has been an invaluable (and free) function for us, but Microsoft have now decided to close the department.

There is a silver lining however, that a number of dedicated Zoom.it fans have taken over the project as an OpenSource (free development) service and they hope to have all the original images back up and running soon. However, as an OpenSource project, it is run by people who already have full-time jobs and so the process of getting everything back online will take time.

Hopefully, our map will re-appear soon, but if we find that the new service is not as good or does not suit our purposes any more, we will look for something else.

In the meantime, please be patient. The Friends apologise for the inconvenience, but it is currently out of our hands.
