West Family Gathering Takes Place in Newbury

The John & Frances West Family Group hold their Annual Gathering at St. Nicolas Church Hall.

On Saturday 7^th June, the John & Frances West Family Group held their annual gathering in Newbury at St. Nicolas Church Hall. Sylvia Sellwood, Sylvia Green and Paul Thompson went along to represent the Friends and provide a Find-a-Grave service to those in attendance who had relatives buried in the Cemetery.

After the torrential downpours that started the day off the sun came out and the group enjoyed a thanksgiving service in St. Nicolas Church (where there is a memorial to the Wests) and tours of the Town Hall provided by the former Mayor Anthony Pick. They also visited the Cloth hall and a number of other sites in the Town centre.
