Nest Boxes attract feather guests
Spring has sprung as Blue Tits start using the nesting boxes
When visiting the Cemetery on Monday (19th February) Hazel Russell, a valued member of the Monuments Recording Group, spotted a blue tit building its nest in one of the nesting boxes put up in the cemetery by Newbury Town Council.
It is the first time that birds have been spotted and photographed using the boxes and we hope that some of the other boxes are also in use this year.
Thanks to Hazel for sending us the photograph. It just goes to show that life goes on, even in a cemetery! |
