Website Hacked
Strange pictures and text infect the Friends' Web site
In the early hours of this morning, the Friends' website was the target of a malicious attack. Strange messages and pictures infected the home page and other pages with text about some group who do not deserve the recognition of having their names published here.
I have removed all the offending text and imagery, but if you find anything I have missed, please contact me (the webmaster) at paulgt@btinternet.com or contact one of the committee members.
Fortunately the main burial database was largely unaffected, with only one record being corrupted, which has since been restored.
The mind boggles as to why some misguided individuals need to spoil the hard work of everyone involved in building and maintaining the huge database that supports this web site which is not a commercial site and provides all its information freely to everyone to aid research into their family history and the history of our town.
There... Rant over! Have a good day everyone. |
