Edgar Eli was the son of Charles and Mary Langton in plot ChNW38. He was a Telegraph Messenger when his father was Head Postman in Newbury. In 1904 he was appointed to the postal service in Harrow. Edith Brocks is his widowed sister who was a Housemaid to a surgeon in Harley St. before marrying Harold Ernest Brocks in 1913. Harry was a Ship's Corporal who was killed in an explosion on HMS Bulwark off Sheerness in Nov 1914. Edith had no children and did not remarry. In 1939 she was living with her parents and engaged in household duties. She was left £227 by her husband and left £993 on her death. Source: Ancestry records.
