Robin Walter Birks was a factory worker making tinboxes. He married in 1909 when his wife was pregnant with their first daughter, Maud Victoria. He died a year later. His widow married again in 1915. William Birks was born in Odstone, Leics & worked as a Coachman, livery stables, in Surrey & Berks. He married Sarha Cannon from Kintbury. Her sister Eliza lived with them as housemaid and Governess. William died in Moss Cottage, 21 Priory Rd & left £920 to his widow; Sarah left £1500 to son Arthur & daughter, Dorothy Higgins. Arthur Edgar his son was first a groom but later a furniture Porter who married Agnes, formerly Dennis of Frilsham, Berks. Sources for ages: Ancestry records.
