Sarah Ann Lait

1861-1862

Sarah Ann was born in Newbury she was the daughter of Samuel Henry & Harriet Lait (nee Tooley) who married in Bicester Oxfordshire in 1841, Samuel was a Cooper.

Sarah Ann died (before her 1^st birthday) in 1862 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 7^th March.

The family moved to Newbury before George was born in 1848, they lived in Jack of Newbury Street until at least 1861 moving to Granger’s Yard by 1871 and Milton Court by 1881.

Sarah’s mother died aged 65 in 1883 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 3^rd November.

Sarah’s father died aged 74 in 1888 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 21^st July.
