Harriet Elizabeth Draper

1862-1863

 

 Harriet was born in Newbury in 1862, she was baptised on the 10th August 1862 at St Nicolas Church Newbury she was the daughter of Jesse & Harriet Draper (nee Messenger) who were married in Newbury in 1849. The family lived in Newbury and her father Jesse was a Sadler & Harness Maker.

Harriet’s siblings were:

Charles Thomas c1850   Jane c1851   Jesse 1854   Lucy c1856   Frederick Messenger c1861   William Barnes 1864-1864   Mary Messenger 1865

Her mother also gave birth to 3 stillborn children who were buried in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the following dates: 29th August 1857, 12th October 1858 and 30th November 1859

Harriet died aged 8 months in 1863 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 25th February 1863.

Both of Harriet’s parents and her brother William Barnes were also buried in the Newtown Road Cemetery.
