Leonard Applegate

c1879-1880

Leonard was born c1879 in Newbury, he was baptised on the 17^th September 1879 at St Nicolas Church Newbury and was the son of Phillip & Ellen Applegate (nee Hurren) who were married on the 5^th March 1865 at St Mary’s Church West Brompton Middlesex. Phillip and Ellen were both born in Notting Hill London and Phillip was a Hairdresser. Sometime between 1872 and 1873 the family moved to the Broadway Newbury

Leonard died aged 17 months in 1880 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 28^th May. His brothers Herbert and George were also buried in the Newtown Road Cemetery.
