Harriet Heath Née George

Harriet George was born on 9th April 1804 and baptised on 29th April 1804 at Thatcham, Berkshire, the daughter of Robert George and Sarah George (née Foster).

Robert George had been baptised at Thatcham, Berkshire on 19th August 1770 the son of William and Margaret George.

On 23rd April 1833 Harriet George married Ralph Heath at Enborne, Berkshire.

Ralph Heath and Harriet Heath née George had a number of children:

  • Ralph Charles Heath was born on 14th September 1834 and baptised on 5th October 1834 in Enborne

  • Harriet Eleanor Heath baptised on 26th January 1837 in Enborne but died on 6th August 1838 in Enborne. She was buried on 14th August 1838 in St Michael & All Angels, Enborne.

  • Harriet Eleanor Heath born on 1st January in Enborne and baptised on 5th May 1839 in Enborne.

  • Albert Robert Heath born on 7th December 1840 at Pound Street, Newbury.

  • Alexander George Heath born on 11th February 1843 in Pound Street, Newbury.

  • Frederick Anthony Heath born on 9th February 1845 at Pound Street, Newbury.

    In Pigot’s Directory for Newbury in 1830 Ralph Heath was listed as a “Baker” on Pound Street.

 

In the 1841 census Ralph Heath (40) a “Baker” was living with his wife Harriet (35) at Pound Street, Faircross, Newbury and three children; Ralph (6), Harriet (2) and Albert (6 months).

In the 1847 Post Office Directory Ralph Heath was listed as a “Baker” on Pound Street, Newbury.

In the 1851 census Ralph Heath (52) a “Baker” was living with his wife Harriet (52) at Pound Street, and five children; Ralph Chas (16) a “Baker’s Labourer”, Harriet E (12) and Albert R (10), Alexander (8), and Frederick A (6). All of the youngest 4 children are recorded as “Scholars”.
