HARRIETT ROSA SMITH nee HUNT

 

Second child of John and Maria Hunt born 1851, Rosa on 1841 census, Harriett on 1861 census.

1871 she was working as a servant to John and Phoebe Fuller living inDonnington Square. In 1872 she married Thomas Smith. By 1881 she had two sons William born 1874 and Albert born 1876, also a daughter Florence Kate born 1878.

On 1891 census they had three more children, Bertha born 1882, Arthur born 1886 and Harriett born 1891. Thomas was a boiler maker and they were living atJackson’s Cottages,Roseberry Place, Greenham.

Thomas Smith, born 1850, was a corn dealer labourer and they first lived at Mill Lane Greenham.

Harriett died 1900 aged 49 years. She is buried in NRC.

Thomas died 1929 aged 79, address32 York Road, also in NRC
