Alberta was born in Newbury on 2nd. May, 1883. 

The family were living in Wharf Road, Newbury at the time of the 1891 and 1901 Census. 

The school register of 1887 gives her home address as Gas House Lane (now King’s Road West). In the autumn term of 1890, she went on to the Wesleyan School.

She went into service and in 1911 was with the Hobson family in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. In 1939 she was Cook/Housekeeper for the Fredennich household in Bristol, Gloucestershire.

She died on 19th. September, 1946 at her sister Caroline’s home, “Felled Oaks” in Horsham, Sussex.
