Arabella Annie Cox Edmonds

She was born in 1840 in Hampstead Norris, eldest daughter of Robert Edward and Jane Barber. Her father was a Farmer of 336 acres employing 22 men in 1851 and the family lived at The Parsonage House, Church Street, Hampstead Norris. She married twice: first to Charles Thomas Pocock, Agent and Gentleman, in 1863; and secondly to John Edmonds in 1890. Arabella and Charles Thomas lived at Blanche Villa, 149 Millbrook Road, Southampton and they had a son John Hall Pocock born in 1869 in Falmouth. Sadly he died in 1876 aged 7 years.  Charles Thomas Pocock died on 19th January 1889 at Blanche Villa; Arabella was sole Executrix. She then married John Edmonds in 1890 in South Stoneham, Hampshire, and she lived with John and his sister Amelia until they died. She continued to live at 31 Shipley Road, Southampton, where she died on 14 December 1929 aged 89 years. She was buried on 19 December 1929 alongside her husband John and her sister-in-law Amelia. Probate was granted to Alfred Curtis Edmonds, Draper, and to Arthur Richard Hillier, Nurseryman.
