Eliza Elizabeth  Lipscomb(e)

She was born c. 1816 in Newbury (Woodspeen). She was the wife of John Lipscomb (1814-1869). After her husband’s death in 1869 she is living at Boyer’s Yard, off Northbrook Street, with her son Edwin (b.1856) and daughter Matilda (b.1859), her occupation is Charwoman.  In 1881, still a Charwoman, she is residing at 2 Winchcombe Place and has a lodger, Thomas Jordan, a journeyman Butcher.  In 1891 she is living at 10 St. Bartholomew’s Almshouses where she is still living in 1901 with her widowed daughter 

Matilda Bell and her grandson Robert Bell.  She died there on 7 March 1902 aged 87 years and she is buried with her husband and their daughter Eliza Payne.
