She was born c.1823 in Newbury. From the 1851 census she is a House Servant in the household of Robert Morris, Rector of Friern Barnet, in Finchley, Middx. In 1861 she is a Dressmaker living at 2 Bedford Court, Finsbury. On 21 October 1872 she was admitted into the City Road St. Luke’s Workhouse, Grays Inn Road, Holborn and discharged in November 1872. By 1881 she was a General Domestic Servant in the household of John Bartholomew, Upholsterer, at Rosina Villa, Hounslow Road, New Hampton, Surrey. In the 1891 and 1901 censuses she is living in the Newbury Union Workhouse, her occupations recorded as Nurse and Domestic Servant, and Needlewoman. She died there aged 80 years in 1903 and she was buried on 18 February 1903.
