Matilda Lawrence
She was born c. 1819 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. She was the second wife of William Thomas Lawrence.
In 1861 she is living at 5 Montague Place, Newbury, with her husband and his daughter Emily (b. 1840) and his grandson William Thomas Lawrence, aged 8. By 1871 she is a widow and annuitant and living at 9 Carnarvon Terrace, Newbury, and William Thomas Lawrence, now aged 18, is lodging there. She is at the same address in 1881.
She died on 3 April 1891 at 63 Northbrook Street, Newbury, aged 72 years. Probate was granted to William Thomas Lawrence, Solicitor of Millom, Cumberland. Her name is inscribed on the grave together with that of her husband and his first wife Sarah.
