Thomas Langton

He was born c.1801 in Newbury. He was the husband of Mary (maiden name not yet  verified) of Devizes, Wilts.  His occupation was  Corn Porter/Salesman in Wharf Road. The 1851 census records 9 children: Mary Ann (b.1825), Sarah (b.1828). Elizabeth (b.1830), Emma (b.1833),  Jane (b.1836), Louisa (b.1838), Hannah (b.1839), Thomas (b.1841) and Ellen (b.1843).  He died aged 72 years on 22 October 1873 and he is buried with his wife. Probate was granted to Mary Langton, widow, and to William Knight, Canal Agent, Newbury.
