Unnamed (stillborn) Ashton

This child’s parents were Arthur and Edith Ashton (nee Cook) who were married in 1894, in Lincolnshire.
Arthur Ashton was born c1874, in Yorkshire.
Edith Cook was born in 1870, in Newbury, Berkshire, the daughter of Thomas and Ellen Cook (nee Cook) who were married in 1863 (marriage registered in Newbury, Berkshire).
Edith gave birth to a son, Frank in 1898, in Newbury, Berkshire. Frank died aged 5 days, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 11th June.
In 1901 Arthur (27), a Draper’s Warehouseman, Edith (30) and a niece, Ivy Haines (3), were recorded living at 4, Orts Road, Newbury, Berkshire.
Edith gave birth to a stillborn child in 1902, who was buried in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 15th February.
The 1911 census records Arthur (35), a Commission Agent, (Drapery etc.) living at 51, Prince’s Street, Bishop Auckland, Durham, with Edith (39) and their niece Lilian Edith Haines (10).
Edith died on the 18th June 1920, in Durham
