Charles Allnutt
1869-1870
Charles was born in Newbury, Berkshire, the son of Moses and Drusilla Allnutt (nee Lambourn) who were married in 1858, in Reading Berkshire.
Charles died aged 9 months, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 28th February 1870.
Charles’ family:
His father Moses was baptised on the 20th October 1833, in Forest Hill, Oxfordshire, the son of William and Martha Allnutt (nee Harper) who were married on the 29th June 1829, at St Aldate, Oxford.
His mother Drusilla was baptised in 1830, at Camberley Royal Military College, Surrey, the daughter of James and Teresa Lambourn (nee Lovelock) who were married on the 12th October 1812, in Basildon, Berkshire.
Moses and Drusilla also had the following children:
Agnes Drusilla, 1858, in Reading
Arthur William, 1860, in Reading
Alice, 1861, in Reading
Henry, c1863, in Adbury, Hampshire, baptised 26th April 1863, in Burghclere, dad a Servant.
John, 1866, in Newbury

Possibly Arthur Charles, born in 1876 in Newbury (birth registered in Wokingham. This could be a grandson)
In 1861 Drusilla (30), a Footman’s Wife, Agnes (2) and Arthur (1), were living at 3, Victoria Place, Reading, Berkshire.
The 1871 census records Moses (38) as a Barman, living at the Castle Tap, Northbrook Street, Newbury, with Drusilla (40) and their children, Agnes (12), Arthur (11), Alice (9), Henry (8) and John (5).
In 1881 Moses (48), an Agricultural Labourer, was living at 2, Crescent Road, Wokingham, Berkshire, with Drusilla (50), a Laundress and their children, John (15), Ernest (9) and Arthur C. (5).
The 1891 census records Moses (58), a General Labourer, Drusilla (60), Henry (28), a General Labourer and Ernest (19), a Corn Dealer’s Apprentice, living at 138, Cumberland Road, Reading, Berkshire.
In 1901 Moses (68), a Biscuit Factory Labourer and Drusilla (70), were recorded living at 1A, Rupert Street, Reading.
Moses Allnutt died aged 72, in Reading, Berkshire
The 1911 census records Drusilla (80) as a visitor at 50A Bullington Road, Cowley, Oxford. Others in the household were Drucilla’s married daughter Alice Lambourn (49), Alice’s step-son, Cyril A. Lambourn (11) and Harry A. Allnutt (15), Drusilla’s grandson (son of Henry and Mary Allnutt)
Drusilla Allnutt died aged 90, in 1921, in Reading, Berkshire.
