William Plumb

c1802-1859

William was baptised on the 7^thFebruary 1802, in Hampstead Marshall, Berkshire, the illegitimate son of Ann Plumb.

His mother Ann was baptised in 1774, in Hampstead Marshall, the daughter of Robert and Catherine Plumb. Ann died aged 80, in 1854 in Hampstad Marshall.

Ann also had the following illegitimate children baptised in Hampstead Marshall:

John, 6^th October 1793

Elizabeth, 17^th May 1795

William, 12^th February 1797 (died 1797)

Thomas, 15^th April 1798

James, 26^th April 1807

Sarah, 9^th July 1809

In both the 1841 and 1851 census records, William (no occupations recorded) was recorded living with his mother Ann, in Hampstead Marshall. The 1851 census records them both as Paupers.

William died aged 57, in 1859, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 12^thFebruary.
