Alice Mildred Nailor
1905-1905
Alice’s birth was registered in Newbury, Berkshire. She was the 2nd of three daughters of Albert and Rosa Alice Nailor (nee Collier) who were married on the 1st June 1904, in Highclere, Hampshire (see details below).
Alice died aged 1 month on the 6th June 1905, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 10th June 1905.

Her father: Albert was born in 1877, in Chieveley, Berkshire, the son of Edmund and Martha Nailor (nee Fryzer) who were married in 1856 (surname recorded as Nailer, marriage registered in Wantage)
Her mother: Rosa Alice was born on the 11th December 1877, in Enborne, Berkshire, the daughter of Albert and Matilda Collier (nee Collins) who were married in 1877 (marriage registered in Newbury)

In 1911 Albert (33), a General Labourer, Rosa (33), Violet Kate (6), Ivy Rose (1) and a boarder, Charles Adams (38), a General Labourer, were recorded living 3 Waldergrave Place, Northbrook Street, Newbury.
During the 1st World War, Albert served as a Lance Corporal in the Princess Charlotte of Wales, Royal Berkshire Regiment, 6th Battalion. He died aged 39, on the 17th February 1917, in France and is buried/commemorated at Regina Trench Cemetery, Grandcourt.
In 1939 Rosa was recorded living at 13 Grasmere Avenue, Coventry, Warwickshire, with her married daughter Violet Kate Dixon, her son-in-law, Harry Edgar Dixon and their three children.
Rosa died aged 79, in 1956 (death registered in Reading, Berkshire).
