Mary was baptised on the 8th August 1819, in Newtown Hampshire, the daughter of George (a Labourer) and Mary Wailin

Mary’s father George was baptised in 1793, in Welford, Berkshire, the son of William and Martha Waylin (nee Green) who were married in 1777, in Welford/Wickham, Berkshire

Her mother Mary was born c1797, in Newtown, Hampshire. Mary Wayling died aged 67 in 1863, she was buried on the 16th October at St Andrew, Boxford.

George and Mary also had the following children baptised in Newtown:

Ann Wailing, 12th September 1824 (abode: Burghclere)

George Wayling, 25th June 1826 (abode: Ecchinswell)

(Amos was baptised on the 16th September 1804, in Wickham, Berkshire, the son of John and Ann Perris (nee Shuttle) who wee married in 1787, in Welford, Berkshire. Amos married maria Haiter in 1831, in Welford. They had a son, George, baptised in 1833, in Welford. Maria died aged 29, in 1834, she was buried on the 3rd October, at St Gregory, Welford.)

 

 Amos and Mary had the following children:

Elizabeth, born 1844 in Thatcham

John, born c1845 in Thatcham

Deborah, born c1849 in Stockcross

George, born c1850 in Stockcross

Ellen, born c1854 in Speen

William, born c1856 in Speen

The 1851 census records Amos (45), a Labourer, Mary (30) and their children, Amos (8), Eliza (6), John (6), Deborah (2) and George (10 months), living in Stockcross, Berkshire

In 1861 Amos (53), an Agricultural Labourer, Mary (40), a Field Worker, Amos (18), an Agricultural Labourer, Deborah (11), George (9), Ellen (7) and William (5), were recorded living at The Barracks, Stockcross. (Surname recorded as Terris on ancestry)

Mary died aged 48, on the 13th September 1868, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 18th September.

Amos died aged 73, in 1875, he was buried on the 16th June, at St Mary the Virgin, Speen.
