These stillborn twins were the children of Benjamin and Fanny Allen (nee Major) who were married on the 27th May 1899, in Thatcham, Berkshire.
Their family:
Father: Benjamin was born in 1861, in Greenham, Berkshire, the son of Mark and Caroline Allen (nee Jenkins) who were married on the 1st February 1845, in Thatcham, Berkshire.
Mother: Fanny was born in 1872, in Greenham, Berkshire, the daughter of William and Harriet Major (nee Dowling) who were married in 1870 (marriage registered in Newbury)
Brother: Ernest Benjamin, was born in 1900, he died aged 8 weeks, buried on the 9th May 1900, at St Mary, Greenham
The 1901 census record Benjamin (43), a Beer House Keeper (self-employed, at home), Fanny (41) and Fanny’s brother Thomas Major (32), living at “The Jolly Butcher” Farnham Royal, Buckinghamshire.
In 1911 Benjamin (51), a Small Holder and Fanny (39) were living in Little Hungerford, Hermitage, Berkshire
The 1921 census records Benjamin (59), a Retired Farmer and Fanny (49), still living in Little Hungerford, Hermitage.
Fanny died aged 62, in 1933, she was buried on the 24th January, at St Mark, Cold Ash.
Benjamin died aged 76, on the 7th April 1937, he was buried on the 10th April, at St Mark, Cold Ash. (Abode at time of death: South View, Cold Ash, Berkshire)
