James Allen

c1783-1860

James was baptised on the 12^th October 1783 in Hagbourne, Berkshire, the son of George and Ann Allen.

George and Ann also had a daughter, Sarah, baptised on the 30^th April 1775 in Hagbourne.

In 1851 James (67), a widowed Schoolmaster, was recorded as an inmate in the Newbury Workhouse.

He died aged 77 in 1860 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 5^th May.
