Elizabeth Haines

Elizabeth, her parents, siblings and early life:
Elizabeth was baptised on the 7th November 1824, at Welford and Wickham, Berkshire, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Pope (nee Trayhorn) who were married on the 24th December 1804 in Wickham, Berkshire.
Her father Charles was a Shoemaker. He was baptised in 1773 in Inkpen, Berkshire, the son of Thomas and Ann Pope. Charles died aged 75 in 1849.
Her mother Elizabeth was baptised in 1782 in Welford and Wickham, Berkshire, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Trayhorn. Elizabeth died aged 68 in 1850.
Charles and Elizabeth also had the following children baptised in Welford and Wickham:

The 1841 census records Elizabeth (15) as a Female Servant at Elcott Farm, Kintbury, Berkshire.

(William was baptised on the 10th August 1828, in Hampstead Norreys, Berkshire, the son of Joel and Eleanor Haines (nee Cooper) who were married on the 14th October 1819, at St Mary, Thatcham, Berkshire. His father Joel died in 1830. His mother remarried in 1832. Her 2nd husband was Job Haines. William married Ellen Cooke in 1848, they had the following children: Job 1849-1852, Alice 1851, William Job 1853-1853. William was widowed in 1853. Ellen died aged 24, soon after giving birth to their son William Job. She was buried on the 30th April, at St Mary the Virgin, Shaw cum Donnington).
Elizabeth gave birth to a daughter, Sarah Jane Hains in 1854. Sarah Jane died aged 1 in 1855. She was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 28th September.
Elizabeth died aged 33, the following year. She was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 1st March 1856.
William died aged 29 on the 24th January 1858, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 29th January.
After William’s death his daughter Alice went to live with her grandmother Ellen and her 2nd husband Job Haines. (Job was the younger brother of Joel Haines, Ellen’s 1st husband)
