Anne Bowring Watson nee Mardon (1818-1890)

Anne was the daughter of John Mardon and Amelia nee Stamp. She was born on 6th September, 1818 in Enfield Town, Middlesex and baptised at the Presbyterian Church in Baker Street on 22nd December, 1818.
John was born in Exeter, Devon in 1787 and became a Bookseller. Amelia was born in Dunchideock, Devon in 1788. They married in Westcheap, London on 27th. August, 1815. The 1841 Census shows the family in Farringdon Street, London.
Anne married James Watson in the City of London in 1842. He was born in Scotland in 1799 and became a Barrister (Advocate). Four of their children were born in Scotland and others in the Kensington and St Pancras districts. Three sons were pupils at Clewer House School, Windsor.
In 1881, Anne is a widow living with two daughters, Margaret and Lucy, in Barton-upon-Irwell in Lancashire. Her son, David, is a Doctor of Science and a Metallurgist and his family are in Broughton, Salford, Lancashire. Margaret and Lucy became Music Teachers.
Anne died in Newbury in April, 1890. Her son, Malcolm and his family were in Newbury then.
