According to the 1841 census Martha was born in Berkshire. The census for this year records her aged 65, living in Church Almshouses, Newbury, Berkshire.
Martha died in 1851 (age at death recorded as 76 on the GRO website and 73 on the NBI), she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 25th April.
