William Church
1850-1851
Willliam was born in Newbury, Berkshire, (birth registered in the June quarter 1850) the son of William and Sarah Church (nee Taylor) who were married on the 12th July 1838 at St Martin in the Fields, Westminster.
His father William was born on the 11th November 1812 in Chieveley, Berkshire, he was baptised on the 22nd November 1812 in Chieveley, the son of Richard (a Bricklayer) and Lucy Church (nee Fox) who were married on the 3rd November 1800 at St Martin in the Fields, Westminster.
His mother Sarah was born on the 25th October 1810 in Chieveley, Berkshire, she was baptised on the 23rd December 1810, in Chieveley, the daughter of William and Sarah Taylor (nee Taylor) who were married on the 28th May 1798 in Chieveley, Berkshire.
William and Sarah also had the following children:

Richard Brice 1857 (died 1857, buried in the NRC on the 18th December)
In 1841 William (25) a Bricklayer and Sarah (30) were living in Northbrook Street, Newbury.
The 1851, 1861 and 1871 census records record the family living at 9 Southampton Terrace, Newbury as follows:
1851: William (38), a Builder, employing 8 men, Sarah (40), Rosa Louisa (8), Alice Elizabeth (7), Emily (4) and William (1).
William died aged 1 in 1851. He was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 7th June.
The 1851, 1861 and 1871 census records record the family living at 9 Southampton Terrace, Newbury as follows:
1851: William (38), a Builder employing 8 men Sarah (40), Rosa Louisa (8), Alice Elizabeth (7), Emily (4) and William (1).
1861: William (48), a Builder employing 6 men, Sarah (50), Emily (14), Rowland (9) and Walter (6).
1871: William (58), a Builder, Sarah (60), Rosa (29) and Walter (16), an Apprentice Ironmonger.
Sarah died aged 60 on the 18th September 1871, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery 21st September.
William died aged 58 on the 23rd October 1871, he was laid to rest with Sarah in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 26th October.
