Eliza Ann, her parents and siblings:

Eliza Ann was baptised on the 2nd November 1831 at St Mary the Virgin, Speen, Berkshire, the daughter of John and Eliza Pyke (nee Fidler) who were married on the 3rd October 1820 in Speen, Berkshire (witnesses: Charles Fidler and William Low)

According to census records Eliza Ann’s father John was born c1791 in Woolhampton, Berkshire. He was a Shoemaker/Cordwainer.

Her mother Eliza was born c1797 in Newbury, Berkshire, the daughter of Edward (a Shoemaker) and Sarah Fidler (nee Cleeve) who were married on the 18th October 1789 at St Michael, Basingstoke, Hampshire (Edward was from Kingsclere).

John and Eliza also had the following children:

Mary Elizabeth, baptised 20th September 1829 at St Mary the Virgin, Speen

Sarah Cleeve, baptised 11th August 1833 at St Mary, Speenhamland

Harriet, baptised 8th June 1834 at St Mary, Speenhamland

John, baptised 10th April 1836 at St Mary the Virgin, Speen

James, baptised 28th October 1838 at St Mary, Speenhamland

Edward, baptised 21st February 1841 at St Mary, Speenhamland

The 1841 census records Eliza as Ann (7), living in Woodspeen, Berkshire, with her father John (49), a Cordwainer, her mother Eliza (45) and her siblings, Harriet (16), Sarah (9), John (5), James (3) and Edward (4 months)

Eliza Ann died aged 19 years and 4 months, on the 2nd January 1851, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 11th January.

After Eliza Ann’s death:

The 1851 census records John (59), Eliza (54), a Nurse, Harriet (27), John (15), an Errand Boy, James (12) and Edward (10), living in Caroline Place, Newbury, Berkshire.

John Pyke died aged 64 in 1856, he was buried on the 16th April at St Mary the Virgin, Speen

The 1861 census records Eliza (63) as a Nurse, living in Caroline Place with daughter Harriet (37) a Cook, her son Edward (20) a Journeyman Baker and her granddaughter Sarah Ann Pyke (9). (Surname recorded as Pike on ancestry)

The 1871 census records Eliza (74) as an Owner of Houses, she was still living in Caroline Place, with Harriet (47) and Edward (30)

Eliza died aged 74 on the 7th August 1871, she was buried on the 11th August, at St Mary the Virgin, Speen.
