Kezia Oliver

Kezia was born in Newbury, Berkshire, she was baptised in 1813 in Newbury, the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Taylor
The 1815 census of Newbury records Kezia (2) living on the east side of Barthlomew Street, Newbury with her father Thomas (44), a Cooper, her mother Sarah (40), her sisters Hester (14), Sarah (12) and an Apprentice, William King (19).
Kezia married David Oliver on the 27th December 1832 at St Mary the Virgin, Speen Berkshire.
(David Oliver was born c1810 in Newbury, Berkshire the son of Jesse and Jane Oliver (nee Hill) who were married on the 29th July 1798 at St Nicolas Church Newbury.)
David and Kezia had the following children:

The 1851: David (41) a Clerk to Post Office, Kezia (38), George Edmund (18), an Apprentice Gun Maker, Abner (15), Agnes Maria (13) (Kezia Miriam), Arthur (11), Alice (6), Esther (3) and Clara (1).
In 1861: David (51), a Master Boot and Shoemaker, Kezia (48), a Shoe Binder, Alice (16) a Servant, Esther (13), Clara (11), Felix (9) and Frederick (7).
1871: David (62) a Bootmaker, Kezia (59) and Frederick (17), a Wheelwright.
Kezia died aged 59 in 1871, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 21st July.
David was allocated a Raymonds Almshouse in Newtown Road, Newbury in 1880.
The 1881 census records David (71) as an Almsman, living in Raymonds Almshouses. His daughter Alice (36), a Nurse and his grandson Cecil (10), were recorded living with him.
David died aged 81 on the 29th August 1889, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 3rd September.
