James was born in 1865 (birth registered in theSeptember, Q in Newbury). He was privately baptised on the 16th April 1866, at St Nicolas Church Newbury, the illegitimate son of Mary Viner.
James died soon after he was baptised, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 20th April.
