Henry Hermon was baptised in 1813 in in East Ilsley, Berkshire, the son of John Sarah Harman (nee Silk) who were married in East Ilsley in 1810.

John and Sarah Herman also had the following two children baptised in East Ilsley, Charles in 1811 and Elizabeth in 1816.

In 1841 Henry Hermon (25) was recorded as a Shoemaker, living in Northbrook Street, Newbury, Berkshire.

The 1851 census records Henry Hermon (37) as a Master Bootmaker, at 96 Northbrook Street, Newbury. His sister Elizabeth Hermon (34) was recorded living with him.

Henry’s brother Charles committed suicide in 1858, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 19th March.

Henry Hermon died aged 45 on the 27th September 1858, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 1st October.
