Mark was baptised on the 14th February 1790 in Highclere, Hampshire, the son of James and Sarah Eeles.

His siblings were (all baptised in Highclere):

John 24th September 1786 (possible death 1788 in Highclere)

John 25th July 1802 (surname recorded as Eels, born 24th December 1801)

 

Mark was a Plasterer.

In 1841 Mark Elles (50), living in Highclere, Hampshire.

The 1851 census records Mark Eales (59) as single, he was recorded as a visitor at the Queens Arms, Speenhamland, Berkshire.

Mark died aged 69 in 1855, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 4th April.

 (The GRO website have recorded his surname as Ecles and the freebmd have recorded his surname as Eeles).
