Elizabeth Hazell

Elizabeth was born in Berkshire.

She had at least two children both were illegitimate.

Samuel Johnson baptised on the 11^th July 1813 at St Nicolas Church Newbury. Samuel’s father was recorded as Samuel Johnson, a Labourer.

The 1815 census of Newbury records Elizabeth living in Northcroft Lane, Newbury with her children Elizabeth (17) and Samuel (2).

The 1841 and 1851 census records also record Elizabeth living in Northcroft Lane. In 1841 she was recorded aged 65, working as a Labourer and in 1851 she was recorded aged 76, as a Pauper/Needlewoman.

Elizabeth died aged 78 in 1852, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 29^th September.
