Robert Gill Wyllie was a medical practitioner from Aberdeen.

He did the post mortem with his partner doctor Jenner Clarke on the murderer Ellis Winn in 1892.

His son was killed in action in 1917 and is buried in Rouen.

He was killed in a car crash in 1943

 

He and his first wife had six children (Ancestry).

He remarried in 1918 ALICE MINNIE PLATER (née MASLIN), a WW1 widow with two children.

Alice's dates are 1887-1960 - she is not buried in Newtown Road Cemetery, nor are there any Maslins or Platers.

It was she who was driving when the fatal car crash occurred.

 

Dr. Wyllie was a Freemason, having been initiated into The Loyal Berkshire Lodge of Hope on 3rd March, 1899.
