William Whitehead was born in South Cerney, Cirencester, Gloucester 18 July 1813. He was baptised 9 August 1813. He married Hannah Lambert (1814 1879) on the 19th December 1842 at Bishopstone near Shrivenham Wiltshire. They had seven children.
He was a Chelsea pensioner Sergeant and a recruiting Sergeant in Newbury
