Richard Shelley was possibly born in Great Yarmouth. In quarter 2, 1859 he married Emily Dibbey in Newbury. In the 1861 census he is living in 92 Northbrook St. He was the unitarian minister at the waterside Chapel. His son was born in Newbury in "arrowsmith Hide" June 1862 and his daughter Irene Smart Shelley was born in June 1862 in Cranbrook Kent. He died age 40
