Matthew Rozier died aged 21 on the 26th of August 1878.

He was a Rechabite and a primitive Methodist. He was employed as a whitesmith and his father Thomas Rozier was police constable in 1861.   in that year, in 1861, they are living at hazel's yard near Bartholomew St, Newbury. In 1871 they are at Lewis's buildings,Bartholomew St.
