Thomas was the son of James and Phoebe Brazier.
Thomas’s father James was a Tailor. He was born c1778 in Berkshire, he died aged 71 in 1849 and was buried on the 14th August at St Nicolas Newbury (age recorded as 73 on NBI).
His mother Phoebe was born c1779, she died aged 64 in 1843 and was buried on the 25th November at St Nicolas Newbury.
By 1815 James and Phoebe were living in Newbury. They had two other children, Richard born in 1814 (died aged 3 in 1817, buried 27th June at St Nicolas Newbury) and Sarah baptised 29th June 1817 at St Nicolas Church Newbury (died aged 14 months, buried on the 22nd May 1818 at St Nicolas Newbury)
The 1815 census of Newbury records Thomas (4), his parents James and Phoebe and his brother Richard (1) living in Morris’s Yard on the west side of Market Place, Newbury.
Like his father James, Thomas was also a Tailor.

Louisa was baptised on the 22nd August 1819 at St Mary the Virgin, Speen, Berkshire, the daughter of Elizabeth Hyland (no father recorded).

Richard 1861 (possibly their grandson. Richard has been recorded as the son of Thomas Brazier in the 1871 and 1881 census records. In the 1861 census there’s an infant grandson aged 3 days recorded in the Brazier household. There’s also a birth registered in the June quarter of 1861 for a Richard Brazier but no mother’s maiden recorded so Richard was probably the illegitimate son of one of Thomas and Louisa’s daughters, probably Harriet. When Richard married in 1892 he named Thomas as his father so it looks like he was raised by his grandparents as their son).
In 1841 Thomas (30), Louisa (20), their daughter Harriet (1) and Thomas’s parents James (60) and Phoeby (50) were recorded living in Northbrook Street, Newbury. (Surname recorded as BRAIZIER on familysearch.org)
The family were recorded in the 1851 census living in St Mary’s Hill, Newbury.
In 1861 Thomas (45), a Tailor, Louisa (40) and their children Caroline (15), James (14), an Apprentice, Eliza (12), Sarah (11), Jane (8), Alfred (5), Thomas (2), Harriet (21), a General Servant and Infant grandson aged 3 days, were living in Northcroft Lane, Newbury.
Louisa died aged 49 in 1869, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 15th March
The 1871 census records Thomas living at 7 Magdala Terrace, Newbury.
In 1881 he was recorded living in Raleigh Place, Newbury.
Thomas died (aged at death recorded as 72) on the 16th June 1890, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 21st June.

(Please note: The following are only possibilities but have been added in case anyone finds a DNA link to the Birmin/Burman name.
The 1841 census clearly records that Thomas and his mother Phoebe were not born in Berkshire. The 1851, 1861 and 1881 census records record Thomas’s place of birth as Newbury, the 1871 census record his place of birth as Birmingham (recorded as Barningham on Ancestry). Working on the possibility that Thomas was born in Birmingham there is this possible marriage for his parents: James Brazier and Phoebe Birmin, 19th June 1803 at St Bartholomew Edgbaston Birmingham Warwickshire and a possible baptism and burial for another son: Charles Brazier, 29th August 1808 at St Martin Birmingham, parents James and Phebe. Charles died later that year he was buried on the 1st December 1808 at St Martins Birmingham. Possible baptism for Phoebe: Phoebe Burman, 31st August 1777, Sherbourne Warwickshire, parents Thomas and Mary.
