William Harold Thomas Brazier

1923-1958

William was born on the 29^th January 1923 in Newbury, the son of Wilfred Harold and Matilda Ann Brazier (nee Bryant) who married in 1923. (Marriage registered in Newbury)

William’s father Wilfred Harold was a Carpenter, he was born on the 25^th April 1900 in Newbury, the son of Thomas and Annie Brazier (nee Titchener) who were married on on the 10^th October 1880 at St John the Evangelist Newbury. Wilfred died on the 31^st December 1972.

His mother Matilda Ann was born on the 21^st March 1900 in Hungerford, the daughter of Albert and Amy Rose Bryant (nee Trubridge) who were married on the 20^th June 1899 in Great Wishford, Wiltshire. Matilda died in 1986.

William had two sisters one born in 1925 and one in 1929.

In 1939 The family were living at 3 Salcombe Road, Newbury. William was recorded as an Apprentice Plumber.

The 1947 and 1948 Electoral Registers record William living with his parents and sister at 8 Arthur Road Newbury.

He “married” Ellen Martin (no marriage found yet!) and they had two sons.

William died aged 35 on the 22^nd February 1958, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 26^th February.

Ellen was born on the 24th May 1919 she died on the 8^th June 1985
