Charlotte Annie Tucker

1868-1869

Charlotte Annie was born in Newbury in 1868 the ninth child of William & Elizabeth Tucker (nee Curtis) who were married in Newbury in 1852. Her father was born c1820 in Brimpton Berkshire and worked as a Labourer (1851), a Carter (1861), a Miller (1871) and a Carman (1881). Her mother was born c1835 in Newbury.

The family lived in Newbury, (Cheap Street (1861), St Mary’s Hill (1871) and Greenham Street (1881)

Charlotte Annie died aged 4 months in 1869 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 8^th January

William & Elizabeth had ten children altogether but sadly only two survived to adulthood, Albert born c1864 and Thomas born1870.

Charlotte’s father William died aged 57 in 1882, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 17^th February.

Her mother Elizabeth remarried in 1882, her 2^nd husband was Richard Middleton.  She died aged 74 in 1912 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 6^th April.
