Hannah was born c1856 in Reading Berkshire the daughter of Henry and Esther Heburn Beaven (nee Church) who were married in 1851 (marriage registered in Newbury).

 Henry and Esther also had the following children:

John James born 1852 in Newbury

Frederick Henry Church born c1857 in Reading

Emily Wilson born 1859 in Reading

Joseph George born c1862 in Reading

Esther Ann born 1863 in Reading

 Hannah’s father was recorded as a Carpenter in 1861, 1871 and 1881. By 1891 Henry was a Grocer.

 In 1861 Hannah (5) was living with her parents and siblings at 14 Weldale Street, Reading.

 In 1871 Hannah (15) was working as a Domestic Servant, living in Caversham Villa, Redland Grove, Westbury on Trym, Gloucestershire. Her parents and siblings were living in West Street, Newbury.

 The 1881 census records Hannah (25) as a House Maid, living in Hollington, East Woodhay, Hampshire. Her parents and siblings were living in Summerfield Cottage, East Woodhay, Hampshire.

 On the 14th July 1885 at Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Westminster, Hannah gave birth to a son William Henry, he was baptised on the 20th July at St Mark, St John’s Wood, Westminster. (Hannah’s name was recorded as Anna Sophia on this document)

 Hannah’s mother died aged 66 in 1890 (death registered in Kingsclere)

 By 1891 Hannah (35), was working as a Grocer’s Assistant, (probably in her father’s Grocery Shop), she was living with her father Henry (65), a Grocer, her sister Esther (27), a Grocer’s Assistant and her son William H Beaven (6), in Andover Road, Highclere.

 Hannah’s father Henry died aged 67 in 1893 (death registered in Kingsclere).

 In 1901 Hannah (45), (recorded as Sophie), a Grocer and Shopkeeper, her sister Esther (37), (recorded as Annie), a Grocer and Shopkeeper and her son William (16), a Carpenter’s Apprentice, were recorded at the Grocer’s Shop in Andover Road, Highclere.

 The 1911 census records Hannah (55) and her sister Esther Ann (47) still living in Andover Road, Highclere, Hampshire both were recorded as Shopkeepers. By 1928 they had moved to 29 York Road, Newbury.

 Her sister Esther died aged 67 on the 30th April 1931, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 5th May.

 Hannah died aged 77 on the 31st May 1933, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 3rd June.
