Hephzibah, her parents, siblings, step family and early life:
Hephzibah was baptised on the 6th January 1809 in Ramsbury Wiltshire the daughter of Thomas and Jane Lawrence (nee Pullin/Pullen) who were married in Lambourn Berkshire on the 17th April 1798.
According to the 1841 census her father Thomas was born c1781 in Wiltshire. He was recorded as a Glover, Breeches Maker, Shopkeeper and Draper on baptism records for his children.
Her mother Jane was baptised on the 30th January 1771 in Ramsbury the daughter of Stephen and Jane Pullen. Other known children of Thomas and Jane baptised in Ramsbury were:

Silas baptised 25th August 1804 (buried 17th March 1805)
Keturah baptised 6th January 1806

Hephzibah’s mother Jane died aged 48 she was buried on the18th April 1819 in Ramsbury (surname recorded as Laurence)
Her father remarried on the 24th July 1823 in Ramsbury his 2nd wife was Jane Wilmot (baptised 31st March 1799 in Ramsbury the daughter of William and Mary Wilmot)

Hephzibah:
Hephzibah married Charles Velvin on the 25th December 1832 at St Mary the Virgin Speen Berkshire. Charles was from Highworth Wiltshire, he was born on the 28th January and baptised 27th August 1809 at Morgan’s Hill Bradford Wiltshire the son of James and Sophia Velvin and was a Sadler and Harness Maker.
The 1841 census records Charles (32) as Independent living in the High Street Ramsbury with Hephzibah (32).
Charles Velvin died aged 39 on the 27thSeptember 1848, he was buried on the 1st October in Highworth Wiltshire.
In 1851 Hephzibah (40) was recorded as a Sadler & Harness Maker employing 2 men she was still living in the High Street Ramsbury. Her niece Isabella Clarke (3) was living with her (Isabella was the daughter of her sister Eunice who died aged 43 in 1850)
By 1861 Hephzibah (52) was living alone in the High Street and was recorded in the census for this year, as a Sadler.
The 1871 census records Hephzibah (59) as a Nurse, Domestic Servant at Weston Farm Welford Berkshire
She died on the 17th November 1876 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 20th November.
