Elijah Warner

1839-1856

Elijah was born 1839 in Newbury Berkshire the youngest of ten children. His parents were John and Diannah Warner (nee Field) who were married in 1816 in Reading Berkshire.

His father John was a Sawyer. He was baptised on the 8^th November 1789 at St Mary the Virgin Marlborough the son of John and Phoebe Warner (nee Painter) who were married on the 27^th April 1789 at St Mary the Virgin Marlborough Wiltshire

His mother Diannah was baptised on the 24^th February 1796 at St Nicolas Church Newbury the daughter of John and Hannah Field (nee Winter) who were married on the 26^th December 1793 at St Nicolas Church Newbury

Elijah’s siblings were:

Elijah was recorded in the 1841 census living in East Field Newbury with his parents and siblings. By 1851 the family were living in Back Lane Newbury.

Elijah died aged 17 in 1856 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 20^th May.

His mother died aged 64, in 1859, she was buried in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the on the 8^th July.

His father died aged 90 on the 22^nd July 1878 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 27^th July.
