Herbert Humphries was a house painter and in WW!1 in the terretorial Royal Berks. Reg.  He was discharged 21/2/1919 with Bronchitis/ Asthma.

He married Norah Edith Hunt in Blanford Forum on 7 Oct. 1894. 

In 1901 he is living with Norah at 2 Park St.  

They had a son Herbert H Humphries, Mabel (poss. died Oxford 1966), Herbert Edward (died aged 34 in 1936), Nellie who in 1927 m. William Marshall and Edith Alice who died in 1927 and who is buried with her father in NRC. 

In 1930 they where living at 14 West St.   Norah died in 1965 and was cremated in Reading
