Eva Annie Stevens (1899 – 1900)

Thomas Stevens was born in 1861 in Devizes in Wiltshire. He married Sarah Pearce on 16 January 1885 at St John in Newbury. Sarah was born in 1864 in Newbury.

Thomas and Sarah had seven children all born in Newbury.

Eva Annie in 1899

Eva Annie was born on 27 October 1899 and died on 16 June 1900 aged 7 months. She was buried at Newtown Road Cemetery on 19 June 1900.

An announcement appeared in the Newbury Weekly News dated 21 June 1900 as below.

STEVENS – June 16, at 3 East View Cottage, East Fields, Newbury, Eva Annie Stevens, infant daughter of Thomas Stevens, aged 7 months.

Thomas and Sarah continued to live in Newbury, in the 1901 census they were living at 3 Livingstone Road. They had moved to 3 St Nicholas Road by 1911.

Both were buried at Shaw Cemetery Thomas on 2 February 1927 and Sarah on 31 January 1936. They were both still living at 3 St Nicholas Road at the time of their death.
