Sophia Ewing
She was born in 1789 in Goldalming, Surrey to John and Jane Hackman (nee Tickner) and baptised on 6 September 1789 at St. Peter & St. Paul, Godalming. She married Josiah Ewing at St. Leonard, Shoreditch, on 4 February 1810, in the presence of Philippa Ewing and Samuel Brown. In the 1841 census she is living with her son Joseph in Tabernacle Walk, Shoreditch, and by 1851 she is living with her daughter Mary in Swaffham, Norfolk. They moved to Newbury where she died on 19 August 1862 aged 74 years. She was buried on 23 August 1862.
