Henry Seward was the son of James Seward and Jane Sutton born 28 April 1848 at St Mary Kingsclere

Henry Seward married in Q2 1873, in Newbury,a Sarah Maria, the daughter of John Edward and Elizabeth.  Sarah was baptised 3 June 1849 at Vernham Dean.

In 1881 and 1891 they are living in Westcombe Buildings, Northbrook Street.   Henry is a carpenter.

Sarah Seward was buried 26 March 1900 in Newtown Road Cemetery

 Henry, still a carpenter is shown in the 1901 census and was buried 18 June 1906

They had 4  known children all born in Newbury:-

Edith Anne Seward 1875 who married Edward James Ferry in Q2 1901 Buried NRC 22 January 1937

Alfred Henry Seward 1878 Buried NRC 13 Sept 1882 aged 3

Ernest 1881

Gertrude Ida 1889.

There are other Seward infants buried in NRC between 1874 & 1882 and it is possible some of whom could also have been children of Henry and Sarah.
