WILLIAM AINSLIE

Born Bengal, India in 1826. Employed as civil servant. marriage to Amelia Caroline Gouldesbury in 1852

Back in UK in 1861 living at Lentwardine, Herefordshire. Wife living at Wilton, near Salisbury.

From 1881 he lived for 30 years in Torquay, with two daughters and several servants. Described as retired Indian Civil Servant.

Shortly after 1901 census he arrived in Newbury, where he died in 1906 at South End Lodge, Newtown Road aged 80.
