Thomas Morgan

c1809-1852

 

Thomas was born in Newbury.  In 1815 Thomas (6) was living at the Monument Inn on the west side of Northbrook Street Newbury with his parents Thomas (46), (the Innkeeper) and Ann (45), his siblings Ann (14), Edward (4) and Richard (3) and a Joseph Morgan (35), a Coachman.

The 1841 census records Thomas (30) (no occupation recorded) living in ?lyes  Yard, Bartholomew Street, Newbury. His father Thomas (75) (not born in County) was recorded living alone in Church Almshouses, Bartholomew Street, Newbury

Thomas’s father died aged 80 in 1844 he was buried on the 26th June at St Nicolas Newbury.

By 1851 Thomas (42) was in the Newbury Workhouse. He died suddenly on the 8th March 1852, aged 43 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 12th March.
